Hydovert Mouagni, the controversial Congolese MP allegedly incarcerated

Hydovert Mouagni, the Congolese MP who said Jean Francois Ndenguet, Police Chief and Philippe Obara, Homeland Security chief, are responsible for insecurity observed in the city of Brazzaville has been stripped of his parliamentary immunity.

After the controversial Congressman attributed the responsibility to Ndenguet and Obara for doing nothing to stop criminal activities and gangs in the city of Brazzaville, the latter summoned him for questioning. A few weeks later, the MP was reportedly jailed awaiting trial. Now the dictator Sassou Nguesso has ordered his private (irony) parliament to dismiss a democratically elected congress member. As easy as it sounds, that is how far above the law Sassou Nguesso and his followers are. They can easily manipulate the law to get rid of anybody trying to challenge the dictatorship, and make it look legal.

As long as The Nguesso dictatorship remains in power, the Congo will never experience true democracy, nor will its people live a free and happy life no matter what.
